Senolytics, Gut Microbiome Transplants, and the Race to Reverse Biological Age.

Two findings published this month are worth paying close attention to. First, Senolytic therapies designed to selectively eliminate senescent "zombie" cells are progressing through early human trials. Still experimental, but representing a meaningful step toward clinical interventions that target the biology of aging directly rather than managing its symptoms.

Second, research in Nature Aging demonstrates tha gut microbiome plays a significant role in regulating systemic health, including hormonal balance and inflammation, which may influence reproductive aging. While early findings indicate a connection between microbiome composition and ovarian function, the extent of a direct causal relationship in humans remains under investigation.

Meanwhile, the broader anti-aging and longevity market continues to expand rapidly. Estimates vary depending on scope, but the sector spanning therapeutics, diagnostics, and consumer wellness already represents tens of billions of dollars globally and is projected to grow significantly over the coming decade. Capital is increasingly flowing toward companies that can translate scientific progress into measurable outcomes.

The founders attracting serious institutional attention right now are not selling the promise of longevity. They are showing the data. That is exactly the profile we are seeing in our pipeline.

Mitochondria Is the New Gut And the Longevity Supplement Market Is Moving Fast.

Longevity (37.8%) is the wellness trend physicians identify as most likely to define 2026 ahead of GLP-1s (24.4%) and AI-guided training (14.6%). The consumer conversation has shifted from superhuman optimization to evidence-based habits epigenetic clocks, biological age testing, and metabolic markers. NAD+ and mitochondrial health are now mainstream consumer categories.

This is showing up directly in our pipeline. The founders we are meeting in this space are not selling hype they are coming in with clinical data, retention metrics, and clear unit economics.

Consumer Wellness Is Bucking Every Other Spending Category.

Americans plan to spend $60 billion on health and fitness this year the only consumer category where spending is rising while everything else gets cut. Food and nutrition leads at 50%. Beauty, personal care, and mental health each draw 26%. Target expanded its wellness assortment by 30%. Walmart launched an AI-driven Nutrition Hub and cut prices on over 1,000 wellness items.

The consumer has voted. Our pipeline companies are building directly into this tailwind and the distribution infrastructure to reach them has never been more accessible.

Longevity Biotech Is Moving Into Prestige Beauty

Lancome just launched Absolue Longevity MD a skincare line formulated with Mitopure (Urolithin-A) from Timeline, a clinically validated compound traditionally positioned as a longevity supplement. By partnering directly with a biotech company rather than a traditional ingredient supplier, L'Oreal is reframing skincare around cellular health, mitochondrial function, and biological age not surface-level outcomes.

This is not a product launch. It is a category signal. The biggest beauty company in the world just validated the convergence of supplements, therapeutics, and prestige beauty around longevity science.The opening for early-stage brands is real. Proprietary actives, clinical validation, and biotech partnerships are becoming the new table stakes in premium consumer health. Consumers are expecting measurable, biology-driven results and the market is repricing accordingly.

That is exactly the white space we are building into with our pipeline.
